Entity FX was Nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects by The Visual Effects Society (VES). Why is this of interest to Aquaman fans? Because Entity FX works on Smallville, and the award is for "Outstanding Visual Effects in a Broadcast Series" for their work on Smallville.
While "Aqua" is not mentioned, it's safe to assume that Entity FX did the effects of Aquaman's powers in that episode of Smallville, especially when you get to the last sentence of the article: "Current work this year includes the fifth season of Smallville, the pilot episode for WB's Aquaman..."
So, congrats to Entity FX, and let's hope they get some nominations and wins for their future work on Aquaman.
