According to Variety, Ving Rhames will be playing the lighthouse keeper McCaffery. This casting is obviously a striking difference from the McCaffery in the comic book series, but looks like a strong addition to the cast.

My own favorite former role of Ving Rhames was his role as the secret service man in "Dave", but he's also been in "Pulp Fiction", "Mission Impossible", "Con Air", "Dawn of the Dead", played "Kojak" in the recent remake, and was the voice of Cobra Bubbles in "Lilo & Stitch".
